Facts
Otterhounds appeared in the United States in 1903, and the first shown in America were at Claremont, New Hampshire, in 1907.
The hounds were so effective that river otters nearly disappeared and hunting them was outlawed.
Height 27 inches (male), 24 inches (female). Weight 115 pounds (male), 80 pounds (female).
