The job

The modern Boxer was developed in Germany from the Bullenbeisser and worked as a cattle dog, police dog, and war dog.

Facts

  1. Developed in the late 1800s.

  2. Flemish tapestries of the 16th and 17th centuries show Boxer ancestors in stag and boar hunts.

  3. Height 23-25 inches (male), 21.5-23.5 inches (female). Weight 65-80 pounds (male), females are about 15 pounds less than male.
